Medicine is one aspect of the human life that can't be ignored. Having education in the same field does allow one to have both the good financial career and have job satisfaction. There are a great number of educational institutions in our country which do provide medical education. Medicine has many branches that draw out and can be pursued depending upon the merit of the student. Medical Colleges may be specific to a certain field of medicine or they can be one big institution that offers medical care in al the aspects. In some of the other countries, the term 'Medical School' is used to refer to a Medical College. As far as the enrollment into a programme goes, then one must first check out the affiliations of the respective institute. MCI or Medical Council of India is a body that recognizes Medical Colleges in India. It is the responsibility of the India Govt. to keep a watch over these colleges with approvals, so that nothing goes wrong in the scenario.
For getting admission into any of the medical colleges, the eligibility is almost same. For acquiring admission into undergraduate programme, the person needs to have passed class 12th with the minimum of 50% of marks. Besides, having Physics, Chemistry, Biology as a subject is compulsory. As far as MBBS Admission 2013-14 is concerned, then it has already begun. MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) is a degree course that is provided at an undergraduate level. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) can be pursued in the post-graduate level. General Medicine, Orthopaedics, ENT, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, Radiotherapy, Pathology, etc. are some of the specializations of MS/MD, which can be done under the supervision of MCI.
If one is interested to enter the big world of Medicine, then MBBS Admission can be sought this year. For, MBBS, different entrance examinations are held across the nation. These competitive exams happen so as to secure the limited seats of the MBBS Programme. However, the admission criteria do differ from one part of the country to the other. Based on the merit attained in the Entrance Tests, an institution is allotted. Different agencies do take entrance test for Medical; these are: AIPMT, AIIMS, AFMC, AIPGDET, AIPVT, NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test), etc. NEET has become quite a popular test in the past few years and has helped a lot of students get their dream come true.
